Ferdinandeum on the road
CLÉMENT COGITORE & ANDRZEJ STEINBACH- 6.12.2025 - 21.2.2026
Even though the Ferdinandeum is expected to remain closed until 2028 due to its renovation, museum fans will not have to miss out on their art enjoyment. Under the motto "Ferdinandeum on the road", exhibitions and certain exhibits from the collections of the Tyrolean State Museums can be seen at other locations in Innsbruck and Tyrol.
Florian Waldvogel, Head of the Modern Collection of the Tyrolean State Museums, and research assistant Sofia Ohmer are currently managing the Kunstraum Innsbruck on an interim basis.
A joint exhibition by Clément Cogitore and Andrzej Steinbach will kick off the 2025/2026 annual programme at Kunstraum Innsbruck. Both artists deal with questions of representation, memory and identity - Steinbach in his photographic series with an analytical view of social coding, Cogitore in cinematic and photographic works that interweave narrative and historical levels to create complex visual worlds. The juxtaposition of the two positions creates an energetic interplay of different artistic approaches, each of which visualises and questions social orders in its own way.
MELANIE GANDYRA
During the cooperation phase between Kunstraum Innsbruck and Moderne Collection TLM, Melanie Gandyra, a freelance illustrator and artist from Hamburg, will take over the neighbouring exhibition space. With her images of botanical and organic forms, she transforms the space into a shop where visitors can purchase artist's editions created especially for Kunstraum Innsbruck.
