The Ferdinandeum in Innsbruck is being remodelled. Not only is the building changing, but the museum itself is also being rethought. The artist AliPaloma is accompanying this process on two levels: with open questions on the construction fence and with the “Museum Satellite”, a meeting place in public space.
The museum satellite is a temporary, mobile meeting space. In its form and function, it echoes the rotunda, the round room in the entrance area of the Ferdinandeum. The Museum Satellite collects impressions, voices and impulses relating to questions about the future of the museum.
In her work, AliPaloma deals with social norms, gender equality and equal rights. She is the winner of the competition “Ferdinandeum: Art on the Building Site”.
