The Cross-Border Association invites you to a concert evening dedicated to Federico García Lorca.
Lorca was a musician before he became a poet. His sensitivity for music found its highest expression in his poetry. Music therefore occupies a central place in Lorca’s work. This is also shown by his research on Spanish folk song.
The programme includes original compositions by Denise Gueye, compositions from the collection “Siete canciones populares españolas” by Manuel de Falla and a new interpretation of “Procesión” from the “Poema de la Saeta”, set to music by M. Castelnuovo Tedesco.
