Curator’s tour

with Rosanna Dematté on the artistic intervention "Kaddish. Oskar Stocker - Luis Rivera"

On the façade and in the cloister of the Tyrolean Folk Art Museum, a painted canvas shows excerpts from the Jewish prayer Kaddish – a text spoken in memory of the deceased.

Eighty years after the end of the Second World War and in the context of the commemoration of the November pogrom of 1938, the artistic intervention by Oskar Stocker and Luis Rivera invites us to remember. The artwork Kaddish was created in 2018 for an exhibition in the Kollegienkirche Salzburg and was shown in the Columned Hall of the Austrian Parliament in Vienna in 2024.

As part of a guided tour with curator Rosanna Dematté, visitors will gain in-depth insights into the work of the artists, the creation of the artwork and its contribution to the culture of remembrance in Tyrol.
