Mosses are an often overlooked or neglected group of plants, but in addition to their important role in the ecosystem, they are extremely aesthetically pleasing. This identification course is primarily aimed at people who are already familiar with the basics of moss science and also have experience in using microscopes and microscopic preparation techniques (an introductory course is offered every autumn). The Institute of Botany kindly provides us with a microscope room for the course.
Hints:
If you have any microscopy equipment, please bring it with you; some sets of loan tools (tweezers, razor blades, pipettes) will be provided.
