Free Sunday at the museum

On your free Sunday, you can visit the Hofkirche and the Tyrolean Folk Art Museum with its permanent exhibition, parlours and traditional costumes free of charge.

The current exhibition “Hand:Werk:Kunst” shows that design is more than just the aesthetic shaping of a functional object. You can immerse yourself in the world of contemporary Tyrolean design during the curator’s guided tour at 11am.

For children and families, the exhibition “Celebrating Easter – here and elsewhere” offers lots of interesting facts about Easter and its many customs, not only in Tyrol but beyond, with puzzles and exciting stories. Families can also explore other areas of the museum in a fun way with the free app from the Tyrolean State Museums. Young “detectives” can also set off in search of mandalas hidden in the museum: the mission is to be picked up at the cash desk.

At 4 pm, a special treasure in the Hofkirche takes centre stage: a guided tour with Sonja Fabian will allow you to see the Silver Chapel with new eyes.
