On “Free Sunday” we invite you to two free guided tours of the exhibition “geld macht geschichte“.
The guided tour at 11 am will give you an overview of Roman coins as means of payment, instruments of propaganda and as important sources of everyday life.
The guided tour at 3 pm is dedicated to the special topic of the portraits of Roman emperors on the coins of the Imperium Romanum.
At four stations in the exhibition, visitors of all ages can learn exciting information about the Roman currency system, prices, the design of coins and how money was handled in those days by means of various hands-on impulses.
