Before the panel discussion on folk art and design (6 pm), Laura Manfrediwill give a guided tour of the “Hand:Werk:Kunst” exhibition, which shows modern design objects from Tyrol made from a variety of materials.

What was once called arts and crafts is now referred to as “design”. But what is design? It is more than just the aesthetic shaping of an object: Function, material and form interact with each other, trigger feelings and emotions and influence manufacturing methods.
