The “Museum in the Making” series of talks aims to publicly discuss the remodelling, benefits and visions for the new Ferdinandeum. The museum team enters into dialogue with a wide range of experts – and answers questions from the public.
The Folk Art Museum, Ferdinandeum and the educational institutions in the neighbourhood have been working well together for several years, whether in joint projects, exhibitions or events.
The new Ferdinandeum wants to open up to the urban space and become a place of participation and artistic production. How can stakeholders in the neighbourhood help shape the museum and benefit from it themselves? How can existing networks be further deepened, synergies in culture and education further strengthened and also have an impact in the public sphere?
These and other questions will be discussed by Laura Manfredi, cultural mediator at the Tyrolean State Museums, and Karl C. Berger, director of Tyrolean Folk Art Museum, with the heads of the neighbouring schools and the university as well as with the audience.
The event will take place at AliPaloma’s “Museum Satellite” in the middle of the public space, an installation realised as part of the “Ferdinandeum: Art at the Construction Site” project.
