Who plays in the brass band and who doesn’t? What is the role of female marchers and how long have they existed? What is the role of women as brass musicians and in leadership positions? What about integration in brass music in all its dimensions? What current social issues are being discussed in the scene?
We will discuss questions like these with historian Ellinor Forster, who has researched the history of female marching bands, a scene insider, bandleader Andreas Waldner and Andreas Fuetsch from the IGMI Music and Inclusion Network Tyrol.
