How does an object end up in a museum, who did a work of art used to belong to?
The exhibition focuses on provenance research, which reconstructs the origin and ownership history of objects – a reappraisal process that reveals backgrounds and allows secrets to be discovered. The exhibition makes years of research at the Tyrolean state museums visible and at the same time makes this process of searching, tracking down, researching and documenting tangible.
In the preview, teachers are given an exclusive insight into the exhibition shortly before its opening and are informed about the educational programme for school classes.
