Short tour

This summer, the film evening at the museum begins! Before selected film screenings at the open-air cinema, we invite you to join us on specially designed guided tours that reveal surprising connections between film themes and Tyrolean history. Rediscover the museum – and see the film with different eyes afterwards – we look forward to seeing you!

What was life like in Tyrolean households in the post-war period? We look at the tension between technological progress and traditional women’s roles. The guided tour “Tyrolean ‘women’ in the 1960s” focuses on the personal struggle for self-determination as shown in the film “Altweibersommer” (Ö, 2025) – between a sense of duty and the desire for change.
