Get to know museums in a different way – with speed dating at the Folk Art Museum!
Have you always wanted to find out more about the regional museums in Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino? Speed dating gives you the opportunity to talk to some of the museums in person in a short space of time.
34 museums from Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino have each donated a historical object from their collection for the current exhibition “GERECHT? Stories about social inequalities” at the Folk Art Museum. This has resulted in a multifaceted view of the topic of justice with important questions that also affect our democracy today.
Where, for example, did gold-plated pills, a judge’s baton, cassettes of Turkish pop music and a black doll come from?
In short discussion rounds, you will come into contact with museum staff – playfully or very specifically, depending on your mood and interests. Listen to exciting stories, learn more about the often voluntary museum work, about the joys and difficulties of everyday museum life, about collections and regional specialisations. And feel free to contribute your own perspective!
Afterwards, we’ll bring the fast-paced date to a cosy close with a drink and a snack – with time for in-depth discussions and new perspectives.
