In June 1926, the province of Tyrol took over the “Collection of the Tyrolean Museum of Folk Art and Crafts”. In doing so, it undertook to establish a museum open to the public – a thoroughly political project, as three years later it was to present the culture of a still undivided Tyrol.
The symposium (12-5pm) and the subsequent ceremony at 6pm will take a look at this history and the future challenges facing the Tyrolean Folk Art Museum.
