TATÄÄ! – THEATRE FEST

Under the motto “Are dances the more beautiful sentences?”, the Tiroler Landestheater and the Haus der Musik are celebrating their traditional theatre festival with workshops, guided tours, talks and deep insights behind the scenes (1pm to 6pm). The highlight of this year’s festivities is “Von Heimat und Tänze”, a performative dance exhibition in four dance-musical parts.

The Tyrolean Folk Art Museum is also taking part in the festivities, with “I. EINTANZEN” forming the first dance-musical part and “II. UMITANZEN” the starting point for the second part.

Programme:

1.05 PM: I. DANCE IN
The performative exhibition “Von Heimat und Tänze” begins in the inner courtyard of the Folk Art Museum: one-on-one performances and installations by the participating associations* and the dance ensemble of the Landestheater provide insights into musical and dance traditions and practices.
Meeting point: Cloister of the Folk Art Museum (free admission via the entrance to the Folk Art Museum)

1.20 PM: II. UMI DANCING
A lively, festive and experimental procession with clubs*, dance ensembles and the audience sets off, warm and dancing. The procession builds a bridge between old and contemporary traditions, between the Folk Art Museum and the Provincial Theatre, and invites you to join in!

The other parts:

2 p.m.: III AUFTANZEN
The procession ends in the main theatre of the Tiroler Landestheater, where excerpts from the stage play “Von Heimat und Tänze” (premiere: 22.11.2025) will be presented.

14.45: IV. DANCING WITH
All visitors are invited to dance along on the forecourt of the TLT!
