The artist Anna Scalfi Eghenter works at the interface between art and sociology. She uses play formats, performances and installations to analyse how society organises itself. Her works encourage us to rethink the political, legal and social norms of our coexistence.
In an extensive project with the Ferdinandeum, which will take place in two presentations until May 2024, the artist explores the rules and rituals of the museum. The first presentation in the series, entitled "Faites vos jeux" (Make your game), sheds light on the museum as a place of active archiving and organising. In the so-called mezzanine of the Ferdinandeum, Anna Scalfi Eghenter organises her participatory works and games, which have been created over the last 20 years, using plans and photographs. Individual games by the artist will be brought back to life on selected dates to challenge the museum as a play space. On the ground floor of the Ferdinandeum, her work "Cantiere Tempo" (engl. Construction Site Time) offers the Festival Forum Museum a suitable creative and symbolic framework. The museum parterre becomes a construction site for building new relationships in and with the museum.
