Under the motto “Treasure Tyrol. Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow” is the motto of the new permanent exhibition in the Zeughaus after one and a half years of remodelling.

What do archaeological finds reveal about the first settlements in Tyrol? What economic and political conditions prevailed over the centuries? How do the mountains characterise their inhabitants and their everyday lives? Why is transport a problem in Tyrol? Using selected examples, the tour provides an overview of the phenomena of a regional history that also focusses on aspects of immigration and emigration of people, the relationship of people to their environment and social affiliation.

And if you still have time after the tour, you can take part in a shared Tyrolean history at interactive stations in the exhibition.
