ABSTRACT
As part of the Tyrolean Day of Biodiversity 2022 in the Ehrwald Basin, a total of 1,133 taxa were documented. These included 391 vascular plants, 73 mosses, 47 fungi and slime molds, as well as 51 lichens. The total of 571 animal species comprised mollusks (47), spiders (10), cockroaches (1), dragonflies (10), grasshoppers (10), true bugs (12), hymenopterans (23), beetles (41), lacewings (2), stoneflies (1), caddisflies (13), butterflies and moths (286), flies (33), amphibians (2), reptiles (1), birds (68), and mammals (11). Among the most remarkable findings were the sand bumblebee (Bombus veteranus), the presence of three different Gossamer winged Butterflies (Phengaris alcon, P. nausithous, and P. arion), the larch bracket fungus (Ganoderma valesiacum), which is very rare in Tyrol, and the only currently known records of the hair leaved red fescue (Festuca trichophylla), which is critically endangered in North Tyrol. Additionally, the fly-like planthopper (Issus muscaeformis) was recorded for the first time in Tyrol and two species newly recorded for North Tyrol: the mountain- bumblebee hoverfly (Sericomyia bombiformis) and the hairy hoverfly (Syrphus torvus).
