Der Vortrag wird auf Englisch von Michelle Elligott, Chief of Archives, Library, and Research Collections at The Museum of Modern Art, New York abgehalten. Anschließend findet die Eröffnung der Ausstellung in der Aula des Ferdinandeums statt.
The lecture will showcase d’Harnoncourt’s unique approach to exhibition design and display and highlight some of his most memorable installations. Furthermore, it will describe d’Harnoncourt’s journey as a self-taught artist and curator, from his birth as a count to a landowning family in Austria, to his formative years in Mexico as a commercial artist and scout for indigenous crafts and modern art, to his eventual appointment at MoMA.
